As the saying goes, “Leadership is life’s work”. Cliff believes that this is true in two senses: it is the work of a lifetime to become the best leader a person can be; becoming a better leader affects one’s entire life. Cliff feels the world does not have enough truly effective leaders and he considers it to be a joy and honor to be part of the process by which more are created every day.

Cliff supports senior leaders facing significant demands for change at the personal, leadership team and organizational culture levels. His 33 years of experience spans the gamut of executive team-building, organization culture and systems realignment, and individual coaching at all levels. Cliff spent 11 years working in business the roles of HR Manager, Manager of Training & Development, TQM Practice Leader and Sr. Internal OD Consultant, achieving a black belt in TQM (i.e. Six Sigma) as well facilitating significant improvements in senior leadership teamwork. He held these positions at Tufts University, Houghton Mifflin Publishing Co. and the major high technology innovator Bolt, Beranek & Newman (BBN). The last 24 years have been spent in private consulting practice in the USA, Philippines and across Asia Pacific.

Cliff has a number of professional and post graduate accreditations relating to organizational and leadership development diagnostic tools from The Leadership Circle, Growth Edge Assessment and Coaching, MBTI and Six Sigma. As a coach, he has found The Leadership Circle assessments and Stage of Development Interview process to be unparalleled and powerful tools for helping executives and teams address both blockages to performance and strategies for growth at their developmental edges.

Cliff lives in the USA and the Philippines. While in the States, he lives in the foothills of the Cascade Range and enjoys hiking, backpacking and mountain biking, but somehow is never around during ski season. In the Philippines he lives with in the middle of the newest Manila business district and enjoys the urban village experience. He loves to travel to diverse environments, exploring their natural and cultural wonders.
